Any reservation changes, cancellations, etc., are your responsibility and must be made directly with the hotel.

Hotel reservations must be guaranteed by a major credit card. Failure to arrive or cancel your reservation 48 hours prior to the scheduled day of arrival results in a one-night cancellation charge.
Travel to Washington DC
Closest airports are Washington National (DCA), 5 miles, Dulles International (IAD), 25 miles, and Baltimore/Washington International (BWI), 37 miles, to the conference hotel.
Getting Around
Walking, Taxi, ride sharing apps, and the Metro are all great options for getting around. The closest station, Foggy Bottom-GWU Metrorail, is located on campus and offers access to Metrorail’s Blue, Orange and Silver lines. You can access Hotel Lombardy from this station or the Farragut North Metro Station. Plan your route here: https://www.wmata.com/.
What to Pack (attire tips)
June 2 – Whether joining us straight from your flight or hotel room, come comfortable in business casual.
June 3 – Express yourself through Fashion on Fabulous Friday! We’ll be dressed to impress and ready for those headshots in business glamorous.
Saturday, June 4 – Grab your school apparel and show us your Saturday School Spirit! (Saturday casual and jeans encouraged)
Umbrella and Rain Boots or Sunglasses and Hat? – Don’t forget to check the weather before you come.
And, whatever you do, don’t forget your favorite mask! (We’ll provide you one if you do). Masks are currently required while indoors of George Washington University.

COVID-19 Safety Precautions
We want to get to the fun stuff too. But first, let’s make sure we are safe, because your safety is our priority. This is what you can expect:
Participants will be required to be fully vaccinated two weeks prior to participating and masks will be required while indoors.

We will follow the city of Washington DC guidelines and recommendations, and the GWU institutional guidelines for their campus.

Visitors to the GWU campus will be required to register with the university at go.gwu.edu/visitor and complete a visitor COVID-19 symptom screening form, after completing they will be emailed a registration confirmation.

The confirmation will be provided upon check-in to the conference event and to enter GWU facilities.

Our tea breaks, welcome reception and networking lunch will have indoor and outdoor options for seating.

Note: The following is encouraged instead of handshaking: waving, elbow bumps, fist bumps, thumbs up (cart wheels or hand stands optional). WiBE members are encouraged to practice their secret handshake prior to arrival. (Just kidding, there is no handshake. Maybe. But if there was. It would be secret).
